Happy Birthday Mike We Miss You!

Mike “In the Night” Triay (1964 – December 9, 2012) whose parents were Cuban, was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and came to Miami with his family in the late 1970s. He started working as a disc jockey at a Spanish-language station in Miami while he was in his late teens. Mike was a member of the Bayside Boys, a trio of producers who remixed and popularized the English-language version of the “Macarena” by Los del Río and his remix, known as “Macarena (Bayside Boys Remix),” hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in August 1996 and remained at the top of the chart for fourteen weeks.

Mike had become a great friend of the show and is sorely missed.
